HOLY SHITTTTT!!!! Can't believe me and my friends won a 42" Plasma TV from a contest in uni. Firstly about the contest. This contest is a lucky draw contest where we would get a form for buying a large MASTERS milk drink. One of my friends were pessimistic about winning it saying it was impossible to get it. I for the knack of it entered his details just for fun. In the end.......the guy from MASTERS called yesterday when we were watching "Surrogate" telling us that we won it. And it was the form in which I put his details. Talk about coincidence. 1/1500+ entries and that winning entry was a "for-fun-put-his-name" entry.

An epiphany...

Was busy doing a report this past few days. Went on a crazy 8 hour marathon doing it. What kept me going? Coffee....Lots of it. While doing that, I realized that life has so much more in it (*coughs* stupid work and me doing it at the last minute).

Before going on and on about my realization, I'll tell how it all came upon me to even start pondering about it during that 8 hour craziness. First of all, I saw a Youtube vid of my friend's friend skydiving. Secondly, truth to be said, I needed something to keep me getting sick of doing work.

So, I made a list of some of the stuff that I will attempt at in this life be it possible or impossible:

1. Bungee jump
2. Backpack around the world
3. Skydiving :D - figures where I got this lol
4. Learn how to drive a plane
5. Buy a house and make it EXACTLY how I want it to be
6. Then throw a huge party and invite EVERYONE I know to this event

Went for my mechanics lab today...lost a few marks thanks to my lecturer. That said let me show you why me took marks off my lab.

This is a question about moments where you have to write an equilibrium equation for it

So, I drew a picture of this:

and wrote my equation as (W1)(A)=(W2)(B)

Think it is right? Nope.... Why you say? His answer was

You have to write it like this:
A = Distance to centre/fulcrum from W1
B = Distance to centre/fulcrum from W2

Equilibrium equation, (W1)(A)-(W2)(B)=0

WTH!? Isn't that what I wrote. But thanks to that I lost some of my lab marks.

So said that we could pass up our Meeting Minutes by end of class. When the class "ended" which was 15 minutes before time, he wouldn't accept it. 2 weeks passed by really fast....Sad that I have to come back to Aus early :S Plane back was awful. Oddly enough, I can't seem to sleep on night flights as opposed to day flights. Thanks to that, I am now sleep deprived while typing these. Lalalala.

Got to settle some uni stuff and results gonna be out tomorrow at 5pm. Shittttt!!!!! Hopefully all goes well then I could plan on something to do while I'm back. Kinda bored haha.

A must watch video for this month is "The Hangover". To my Malaysian peeps, buy the uncensored one and don't watch it in the cinema. It is way more funny when you hear the full "****ing" words.

Here's a preview though for once, the trailer is not as good as the movie itself. Oh another thing, Terminator Salvation sux and is very boring for me(watched 2 movies at once in Perth). So loving the freedom after the exams I've been through.

Wheeeeeeee!!! Exams are over. Hell happy right now. To add to that, going back earlier and staying for a longer period in Malaysia. Going back on the 21st and the back on 7th.

Sleep deprived days for studying thanks to exams are over. Jolly well nice. Gonna go back and eat till I can't eat anymore. Miss Malaysian food, friends and best of all my family.

The Calm Before the Storm...

Went for a river cruise on the 30th with my friends. This was supposed to be "the best" event that Kurrajong Village(place I stay) does. And man I tell you it was crazy...

First, got onto ship and we were given biscuits to eat. After some blablabla speech, let the food fest begin. Not much of a food fest though as it was just some sandwiches, Chicken Treat(think of it as Aussie Nando but smaller) and sushi. And then the beer drinking started. My first bottle and still fine. When I finished the first 1 my friends were on the 3rd one. Call me whatever you want I have self control lalalala.

In the end drank a total of 2 bottle over a time period of 3-4 hours while my friends did 5. And thanks to that they were well and deeply drunk/have major headaches while I sat there and pretty much laughed at them. Though the side effects of me drinking 2 bottles were quite funny. Here are the pics...

By then, most of the people on the ship were dancing like mad people on the dance floor and doing crazy stuff. Decided to walk away and stayed on top of the ship for some night scenery lolz.

Oh well. Been so long since I last updated this blog. ITS NOT DEAD YET....for now...Anyway, been hell busy with reports and stuff. Not to mention exams are coming. Man...*dreads the word*

On the topic of exams, first one is our favourite and beloved among engineers, Engineering Materials. And it has to be the first one....*sighs* Oh well at least all the exams total up to 8 hours then after that I'll be home free....

Time to finish up my last report before the exams then continue studying....Lalalalalala, going crazy.

Can't wait till I come back on the 1st July :D...Outz

Man, need to get more serious in work now. Exams in 2 weeks but I'm still doing minimum revision. To add on to that, workload is starting to get heavy thanks to the replacement classes(stupid ANZAC day).

Today was the car testing for one of my units. My "company's" car which we designed got top marks. It was supposed to past any 2 bridges twice. Got 3 tries out of 4 but I reckon it should be 4 out of 4 cos it only fell of the bridge at the end when it ran out of space to go.

Good things this week. Results for my mid semester is out and I'm glad to say I got scores around 70-80%. Pretty darn well proud of myself. *gloats*

Getting colder and colder now in Perth. Best of all starting to look forward to going back to Malaysia. Wheee!!!!!

Ok time to stop ranting and time to do some serious work now....

To add on to this, Physics exams is down. But....gonna take the second one on Wednesday. Noeeeeesssssss. And due dates are coming for my assignments.

Rant time. My lecturer did not notify us about the replacement classes for labs so I woke up early today, went there and sat outside lab and when I went in, figured out something was wrong when they took out batteries for experiment. Asked the lab instructor and he said that my group's lab was next week......Make me waste my sleeping time. So sad....

Oh well, time to catch up on sleep now and stop writing. - Dunno why I am writing this first and not sleeping yet lol.

Wheeeeeeee......I love this feeling of euphoria. Material exams are over and best of all it won't ever be tested again. Now for real-world material studies/applications.

Anyway, played Fifa 09 recently and I love 2 songs from that game. Kids - MGMT and Untouched - The Veronicas. It's been playing on my WMP playlist for 3 days straight now and still not bored.

Watched Fast and Furious recently and it rox!!! However FF2 was way better in my opinion. More races and cooler cars.

Whee!!!! Finally finish my progress report for 1 of my engineering units. Took me so long to think of stuff to write. Had to do a non-descriptive yet reflective progress report <----Dunno WTH I am saying. After the rush of happiness, I get shot down by a bullet of emoness.

Next week is hell man!!! Materials exam, Physics assignment, and then the best of all ANOTHER FREAKING REPORT. At least this one is about a site visit. Should be easy to write, hopefully :S. Oh well at least Monday is a holiday. Thank god for ANZAC day ^^.

On the topic of exams....I got to stop making so many mistakes. In my math "mini-quiz" made a stupid mistake involving the cosine rule. Forgot to x2 at 2bc. Sad.....And I think my brain also dunno thinking of what. Differentiation of a function using product rule can become quotient rule. And on my programming exam, didn't read %d on final line of code and wrote down the wrong answer. That's 4 easy marks. SAD MAN!!!

Writing this on the lawn in front of my uni. Weather starting to get cold de but what to do, got dragged by mates to "chill out" on lawn. So many ants rawrrrr.

Holidays over but....

Still in holiday mood even 1 day has passed since the end of it. Had to face one of the scary parts in life that you can't run away from. EXAMS....

Had my programming exams today and I know that I got 1 part wrong already. There goes my marks*sobs*. For those who will be or already know some stuff about programming, here's a great tip you should learn. Always, ALWAYS read the syntax at the last line before the result output. If you are lucky and your tutor/lecturer doesn't like to play with you, you should be alright. Just ranting on how I got screwed by a small "%d" on the last line. ARghhhhhh. Hell pissed....

Back to the usual studies since holidays are over. But due to the holiday mood I am in, work is not getting done as "efficiently" as expected. Still waiting for my tutor to reply so that I could do my report. Looking at the next few weeks....things will make me grow emo for sure....Multiple reports, bridge testing etc.

Haiz going emo now too.....

Haiz...Holidays is over.....Got reports to do but, don't know what to write. Waiting for tutor to reply so might as well do random stuff like blogging. Worse still, I got a mid-semester programming test tomorrow. *goes super emo and recovers to continue writing this blog T_T||*. Curse common first year cos I doubt I would be using this later.

Oh well spent my last days doing geeky stuff ie:

BBQ is so nice yet scary...

Wooooo. Just came back from BBQ tonight. Man it was meat, more meat and nothing but the meat. Lamb, chicken, and heck, even kangaroo. Though, I don't really like the after taste of kangaroo meat.

First, the good things about BBQ nites. It's fun when you have it with friends. Jokes be it corny ones, lame ones anything goes. Now other than that, bbqs start to get scary.

Food. Never trust anyone inexperienced to cook for you. It's either too raw or burnt to a crispy charcoal texture. All hail cancer !!!! Then the smoke and the burning oil. It just makes it so much harder to flip over those meats that you-oh-so-think-that-you-have-cooked-it-properly.

All in all, it was fun but.....it's not something that you could do it every week like some people here do.

Oh well, the bbq this night may commemorate the day that I finish my bridge project(I call 80% completed)

Hell man. It's all thanks to Leon. I hate you forever.......Another reason is that I am going to slack off my assignments. Making a bridge is pretty annoying - waiting for the glue to dry, the smell of glue and worse of all the thing gets all tangled up in your hands. Bleh. Not too mention, programming exams next week. Programming in C. Bet it is going to be pretty fun.

Man I love to rant :D. So....let's rant more.

Reports. Everyone loves reports. Progress reports, contractor reports, site visit reports. They may be good but....they sure never stop popping up like bunnies.

Worst of all this week, Liverpool lost to Chelsea 5-7 aggregate. NOOOOOOOO...

I'm starting to miss home :S. Few more weeks and I'll come back to KL. Muahahaha. Fear me Malaysia. Come back definitely must:

1. Eat fish - freaking expensive at my place in Perth(too lazy to travel far for cheap fish)
2. Movies - Movie theatres here can't even compare to KL. Their ads, pfft, stand still pics advertising shoes and underwears....
3. Chill out with family and friends :D
